July 4th

As a religious Jewish American: what does July 4th mean to you?

Not much of anything, really. Sure, my people really appreciate this country, but we appreciate it all year round. Because I don't get all excited on one specific day? Heck, "1776" is one of my favorite films, and watching it you see that this July 4 wasn't necessarily the most important day in the history of the US.

I am proud to be an American and am grateful for the oppurtunities this country has given us Jews. I proudly display a flag on the 4th

I sang patriotic songs all day long at the top of my lungs. My kids are too young to be embarrassed from me ;)

On Memorial Day and Veteran's Day, I talk to my students about the appreciation and gratitude they should have to this country.

I'm a super proud American.
